Catalina Casillas
Assistant to the CEO

Catalina Casillas is a multi-faceted professional with an extensive education in science and a broad skill set that makes her a wonderful addition to our team. Born and raised in El Paso Texas, Catalina is a proud first generation Latina and a mother of two.

Through her career, Catalina has been a cell biologist, a science writer, and a science educator. She received her B.S. in Biology from UT Austin and her PhD in molecular and cell biology from UC Berkeley.

Catalina’s communication skills and analytical and problem-solving abilities cultivated over years in the scientific field have translated well into our business. Catalina has years of teaching and customer service experience, and her friendly and professional demeanor makes her an asset to our team.

Catalina enjoys art and music, and also writes short stories in her spare time. She hopes to one day publish a collection of her stories. She continues to study science in her spare time and is also an avid student of Buddhism and meditation.
